Segway Generation 2 LeanSteer

The current Generation 2 machines employ the all-new intuitive LeanSteer technology.

The i2 machines are general purpose machines.

The x2 machines are robust all-terrain machines.

Segway Generation 1

The original Segway Human Transporters, Generation 1 machines are no longer available from the Segway factory. At the time of publication, we still have a limited number of new machines available for purchase.

There are also machines available on the second-hand market.

Li-ion battery Reviver

The Li-ion batteries fitted to Segway PTs are capable of storing a lot of energy. This amount of energy may be dangerous in uncontrolled circumstances. Thus Segway has taken a number of ‘controls’ to ensure that batteries are always safe.

One ‘control’ in particular, is that heavily depleted batteries are locked out of re-charge. This is a safe and conservative approach, however when an otherwise good battery has been simply ignored and allowed to discharge, it must be replaced. This reviver kit is designed to safely revive such depleted batteries.

Segway Robotic Mobility Platform - RMP

The Segway® Robotic Mobility Platform (RMP) takes the performance and engineering prowess demonstrated in the Segway® Personal Transporter (PT) and makes it available in a durable package for professional robotics applications. The Segway RMP is an extremely reliable and customizable transportation platform that is suitable for moving heavy payloads in tight spaces over a variety of terrain.

Each Segway RMP model is battery powered and emits only a slight harmonic hum when the drive motors are active. It also has an onboard charging system and is controlled via a simple USB or CAN serial bus interface. Custom interfaces are also available.
